Hello Oppo! This is actually my first post since the latest switch, I figured it should be at the very least something interesting. I know there's a few IHC fans out there, well I'm trying to help a friend out with a 74 D200 dump truck he recently purchased. I decoded the vin and get the following info, it has Light Line 2WD, the size is listed as "1210 3/4 ton", Cab & chassis style, gas engine (that's helpful...), and it from the pickup/traveall line. Vins were much more vague back then that's for sure. He's looking for the right side exhaust manifold, he says it has the 345CI V8 in it but the exhaust exits from the side of the manifold not the middle. My research so far tells me the 345CI engine came stock with the exhaust port in the middle. Anybody shed some light on this? Possible engine swap? Will the manifolds from say a 304CI bolt up the the 345? Secondly he's looking for a throttle cable, IHC part number 453691C1. It's discontinued from the local dealer, but available online, my question is does anyone know of a cable from another manufacturer that will interchange with that or fit with light modification that might be more commonly available (at a parts store possibly)? Thanks in advance, the information on this thing online is surprisingly sparse.
